Most of these elements apply directly to our groups and are good handles for thinking through our L.I.F.E. expressions.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>The 5 Elements are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>1.\u00a0 Mission Orientation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">Does your LIFE Group have a <strong>mission statement<\/strong> so that anyone who were\u00a0to &#8220;randomly&#8221; wander in would know what the group is <em>about<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>2.\u00a0 Word-Driven Mentality<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">You guys, as the F leaders, are <strong>doing so well at teaching the Bible<\/strong> to your groups. The next steps are to be sure that you are helping your group members to both learn to read their Bibles regularly and to read them well (historical, cultural, literary, and in text context).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>3.\u00a0 Multiplication Mindset<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">Are you <strong>raising up leaders<\/strong>, and I mean not just F leaders (teachers) but <strong>I, F, and E leaders<\/strong>, who will begin a group of their own one day?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>4.\u00a0 Stranger Welcoming<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">Is your group hospitable such that people are met warmly, kindly, and\u00a0graciously? Some easy things to do are: <strong>be on time, stand rather than sit<\/strong>\u00a0until the prayer or teaching time starts, <strong>welcome folks at the door<\/strong> and <strong>introduce <\/strong><strong>them to someone<\/strong>, <strong>wear nametags<\/strong> and <strong>bring food<\/strong> as you are\u00a0able.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>5.\u00a0 Kingdom-Focused<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">I\u2019ve been incredibly impressed during spring meetings with <strong>how much ongoing <\/strong><strong>community service you guys are leading through your groups<\/strong>. Let me continue to encourage you to raise up E leaders who champion that work and to continue inviting the lost and searching along with you as you serve.
