Worship is celebrating the greatness of God<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unit Bible Verse: <\/strong>\u201cThe Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father\u2019s God, and I will exalt him.\u201d Exodus 15:2<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bible Passage<\/strong>: Exodus 32; 34<\/p>\n<p><strong>Craft: VBS Intro Craft: Construction Door Hanger<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This week we are getting the kids excited about this years VBS! You will be making Construction Door Hangers as part of the class today.<\/p>\n<p>Materials:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Orange Tape<\/li>\n<li>Sign Paper<\/li>\n<li>Stickers<\/li>\n<li>Yarn<\/li>\n<li>Markers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have kids make small stripes on the top and bottom of their signs. Then have them right their name big and bold in marker on the sign. Add stickers to decorate the signs. He burned it in the fire. Then he ground it into powder. He scattered it on the water. And he made the people of Israel drink it. Exodus 32:20<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong> yellow play dough (you may need to bring some because we will not have enough yellow for all kids)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make calves out of yellow play dough.<\/li>\n<li>Allow students to smash calves, as Aaron destroys the golden calf in the Bible story.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachusthebible.com\/Lesson.php?LessonID=22\">https:\/\/www.teachusthebible.com\/Lesson.php?LessonID=22<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Craft: Golden Glitter Calf<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Scripture<\/strong> <em>He took what they gave him and made it into a metal statue of a god. It looked like a calf. He shaped it with a tool. Exodus 32:4<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong> calf coloring pages (see link below), marker, glue, gold glitter<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cover calf with glue.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle gold glitter onto calf<\/li>\n<li>Let glue dry.<\/li>\n<li>Write The Bible reference at the top of the paper. Exodus 32:20<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies<\/strong> Water, pitcher, unsweetened lemonade powder<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tell the kids that you have made them a drink for class<\/li>\n<li>Add unsweetened lemonade to water, but do not add the sugar<\/li>\n<li>Give the kids the drinks and as they react to how bitter it is, talk about the part of the story where Moses burned the golden calf, ground it into powder, and made them drink water with the powder in it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachusthebible.com\/Lesson.php?LessonID=22\">https:\/\/www.teachusthebible.com\/Lesson.php?LessonID=22<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Game: 10 Commandment Matching<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The site below has the cards you can print out and either have each kid make a set or make a couple sets for them to play with in class. If they make their own set they can color them as well.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.churchhousecollection.com\/10-commandments-bible-matching-game.php\">http:\/\/www.churchhousecollection.com\/10-commandments-bible-matching-game.php<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Game: 10 Commandment Toss<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All I have as a resource for this is the picture below. Basically it is cups with the numbers 1-10 in them and the children would throw a ping pong ball and try to get it in the cup.
