Good morning, Father
Children are a gift–an amazing blessing from You. As a BBC teacher, mentor, parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle, you have the power to make a difference in their precious lives through prayer.
Father, one of the hardest things to grasp is that we are sinners. Help me give my preschoolers an awareness of sin. Help them to be quick to confess when they’ve done wrong and have a heart to make it right. I desire that they not walk in condemnation or guilt, but in the freedom and forgiveness of Christ. May they grow in wisdom to learn from mistakes. (1 John 1:9; Romans 8:1-2; Psalm 51:10)
Suggestion: Think about a child’s specific sin struggle (For example: impatience or quick temper). Write it down and commit to pray for him/her–that God would make the child aware of his/her sin and feel the need for His grace. Look for ways to gently reveal the consequences of his/her sinfulness and the need for repentance. (Taken from 7 Ways to Pray When Your Child Goes Astray by Cindi McMenamin)
