Good morning, Father

During 2017 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. Teach me how to pray blessings for these children and their families.

Father, I want to be positive with the preschoolers I encounter. It is my desire that they think about their actions before they act. Teach them to be positive with their responses
so that I can say:

1. Look what you’ve accomplished!
2. What a great decision you made!
3. Thanks for doing that before I could even ask.
4. I’d love to hear about it.

Father, I want to be positive with the preschoolers I encounter. You know our true worth and value. Help me to instill positive self-esteem to preschoolers by responding:

1. Wow- you really rocked it!
2. You know what? You are a great kid!
3. I appreciate what you did.
4. I’m praying for you.

Father, I want to be positive with the preschoolers I encounter. Help the thoughts that I  verbalize be an encouragement, such as:

1. Great job! Thank you for doing that.
2. Way to go. I’m proud of you!
3. That was so kind of you!
4. Fantastic! Thanks for obeying the first time.

One of my favorite hymns is “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.” Why? The song reminds me that Jesus likes me, and better yet, He loves me! Father, I want the preschoolers I encounter to have friends. Actually, just one good one. Help each child this year as they choose their friends. Protect them from making wrong friends who will mislead them and pull them into wrong choices.
