Good morning, Father,

Children are a gift–an amazing blessing from You. As a BBC teacher, mentor, parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle, you have the power to make a difference in their precious lives through prayer.

Father, it is of great value that I pray for and with the preschoolers I encounter. Show me teachable moments with each child and with the class as a whole. I want the girls and boys to be aware of the importance of following You above all else. I pray that they would show respect to those in authority, honor their parents, and do what is right. (Matthew 16:24; Ephesians 6:1-3; Titus 3:1-2)

Father, I pray that You teach me how to demonstrate to the preschoolers I encounter how to live as salt and light in a dark world that desperately needs to know Truth. I want each of them to develop into wise leaders and influencers in this generation. (Matthew 5:13-16; Romans 12:1-2; Psalm 1:1-6)

Create prayer mantras for your children–reminders of who they are and what they should remember. Engrave it on their souls. For example, you might say: “Thank You, God, for ________ (insert child’s name) helpful ways.” “Look at you, growing in the athletic ability God blessed you with. Thank You, God, for  __________ (insert child’s name).”

Good morning, Father

Father, today I am praying that the preschoolers I encounter will walk in humility. May they not be drawn to a life of pride or conceit but would have a deep awareness of their value in Christ and their need for dependence on Him. (Titus 3:2; 1 Peter 5:5-6; James 4:6)

Ideas: Make prayer lists; keep a prayer journal; put prayer words as décor in your home; write lunch box notes; put prayers in a notebook to give to your child at graduation, off to college, and marriage.

Father, I desire to circle the promises of God around the preschoolers I serve. I pray that they would find their confidence, self-esteem, and security in Christ, knowing who they are in Him. Give them wisdom to know the deeper value of what is on the inside. May they grow to see as You see and focus on internal beauty and strengths. (1 Samuel 16:7; 1 Peter 3:3-4)
