Good morning, Father

Children are an amazing gift from You.

Father, it’s a new school year–a time of learning and growing physically, mentally, and spiritually. I pray that my preschoolers will have a positive attitude and happy spirit. May they adjust to the routine of the day quickly. Help me to help them in this.

“Be glad and rejoice.” (Matthew 5:12a, CSB)

Good morning, Father.

Children are an amazing gift from You.

Father, You understand how children are. They put conditions on their friendships. For example: I will play with you if . . . ; I will include you if . . . ; I will like you if . . . ; or I will share with you if . . . . Help me as their teacher to instill the mindset to not put conditions on their friendships. May this understanding overflow to their relationship with You, as they learn to not put conditions on their love for God.

“Jesus told him, ‘It is also written: Do not test the Lord your God.’ ” (Matthew 4:7, CSB)

Good morning, Father.

Children are an amazing gift from You.

Today I am reminded of the importance of studying Your word and applying it to my life. Help me as I work with preschoolers to teach them to begin habits such as this at an early age. May they hunger and thirst to know You from hearing Bible stories and how they apply to their young lives.

“He (Jesus) answered, ‘It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4, CSB)

Good morning, Father.

Children are an amazing gift from You.

Father, I love the two female hummingbirds that feed at my sugar water. Too often the water turns sour from the heat of the day and I am reminded to make fresh.

The heat we experience in life can turn our plans, goals, or happiness sour due to unexpected situations, disappointments, unwelcome news, pressure, or by being overwhelmed. Father, remind me during those times to place myself under Your protective shade and find Your refreshment and protection from the elements of life.

You are the God of order, purpose, and peace. Help me to reflect that to the preschoolers I encounter. Thank You for Your love for me.

“. . . and there will be a shelter for shade from heat by day, and a refuge and shelter from storm and rain.” (Isaiah 4:6, CSB)

Good morning, Father.

Children are an amazing gift from You.

As we see the end of this summer season, I pray, Father, that these preschoolers will bear much fruit. My heart desire is that they will end their season with me as their teacher successful in making friends, sharing with others, completing their work, listening, following directions, and growing in their social as well as their academic skills. But most of all, may they continue to grow in their understanding of You and make a profession of faith in their adolescent years.

“My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be My disciples.”
