Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation.

Father, You have entrusted me with caring for Your children whose thinking I influence. You have instructed me to warn them of danger and to feed Your sheep Truth. Help me as a leader to understand what is going on around me. Help me to keep my eyes open and be able to discern dangers. I desire to put the needs of those I lead before my own comfort.

As teachers, we bear a special responsibility. James 3:1

Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. As I was running an errand the other day, I had to write an item on my hand in ink because I had no paper to write on. Have you ever done that? It prompted me to think about Jesus’ nail-scarred hands. What does this tell me about what God thinks about me?

He has engraved my name on the palms of His hands because I am so precious to Him. Engraving means “to cut into” and implies permanence. Jesus refuses to forget me; He doesn’t give up. He chooses to love me.

Question: What does God remember about you? How much He Loves YOU. The nail-scarred hands of His Son bear the scars to testify to that. (John 3:16)

Father, this is what I want to teach my preschoolers this week as we prepare for Easter morning.

Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. As I think about my work this day with the children, Father, have I thanked You for the calling You have given me to work with preschoolers and their parents? You have gifted me in a beautiful way to touch the next generation with Your truth. I am humbled and grateful, and I desire to serve You in excellence. Help me instill qualities in the children I serve this week that reflect You. May I make a difference for Your kingdom on earth.

Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. Lord, as I work with preschoolers, help me to accurately teach Your Word. While it is important for them to learn what the Bible teaches, my prayer is that each child will internalize Your commands and ways so much that his whole heart is attuned to You.

“The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.”

Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. Father, Your Word is an accomplishing Word. It is an imperishable Word that stands forever. Through Your Word, we learn of our value. You know our names and give us worth and purpose. Help me as I serve You to be an example to these preschoolers of trusting the Trustworthy. For in trusting You and Your Word, they will see who they are and Who they belong to, even at an early age.

“The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the Word of our God remains forever.”

Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. Father, You said that people look at outward appearances when judging others’ character. Use me to teach these preschoolers instead to look at the heart, the way You do, when they are choosing friends. Bring others into their lives who love You; help them to encourage one other and build one another up, even at an early age.

“Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.”

Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. Lord, the enemy’s lies surround this generation. Show me how to create an environment with activities so that the preschoolers I teach take hold of the deep truths of faith. When they are exposed to teachings, lifestyles, and activities that don’t conform to Your Word, help them stand in the truth, take captive every thought, and live in obedience to Christ even at an early age.

“Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” (John 17:17, HCSB)

Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. Father, it is important that the next generation of believers maintain clean hands and pure hearts. Protect them from conforming to the world. May they experience transformation by having their minds renewed in You. Help me to remind them in love that they are to be Christlike examples in their speech, lives, love, faith, and purity, even at an early age.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)

Good morning, Father.

During 2016, help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. Lord, you have a plan to prosper this generation, to give them a hope and a future. You knew and planned for them before they were even born. As I serve You, may my love pour out on them giving them the passion to live with a deep sense of purpose as Your ambassadors, even at an early age.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

Good morning, Father.

During 2016 help me be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the Next Generation. Teach me to pray Scriptural prayers designed to intercede for the young people in my life so that they will discover and live out their God-given designs and destinies. May they grow spiritually with a maturity, grace, and courage in the now and for the future.

“I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray.” (Psalm 17:6, NLT)

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
