Fall 2024

What a summer it was!

With hundreds of students coming on trips, hundreds of Gospel conversations, and so many new leaders and interns stepping up, this summer was one for the ages. Mission 615, VBS, Vancouver, Beach Camp, Chicago, Senior Lake Day – all of these events worked towards our summer theme: C’Mon. We wanted students to really start to get the picture of Matthew 4:19, where Jesus tells His disciples to come and follow me. It seems like it worked – students invited friends and started Bible studies, leaders came out and organized events and recruited even more new leaders. In our summer celebration we had 50 more students show up than the same time last year – God is doing something in our midst.

That’s why we want to use this next year to even push a bit further – the second half of Matthew 4:19 is where Jesus tells His disciples what He is inviting them to: to become fishers of men. We want this to be the year where we don’t only cast the net wide for new students from the area, but where we also take our existing students to the next level in scripture and discipleship. We don’t want our ministry to be a mile wide and an inch dip – we want a Jesus-centered ministry that would be as spiritually significant as it is dynamic and invitational.

That all starts with YOU – we need leaders like you who will not just lead a class once a week or show up to check off a box, but who will disciple our students to the next level. We want a ministry that will bring students to worship, give them a place to belong, journey with them in discipleship, and ultimately give them a mission to move into. It won’t be perfect and it won’t always be easy; you don’t have to be a perfect example, just a living example. That’s why we’ve given you new curriculum that you can tailor to your groups needs and why we’ve given you even more weeks with your groups. We believe in LIFEGroups, we believe in discipleship, and we believe in what God is going to use each of you to do.

To that, we’ve only got one thing to say: C’mon!
