3 BIG Things for this Week: August 9

Each week we will share the NEXT step that Pastor Mike will present to our congregation, a Group CHALLENGE, and a BEST practice for groups.

  • NEXT Step: Join a group: God has given us community as a place to find joy and spiritual growth.
  • Group CHALLENGE: Challenge your group members to invite their unconnected friends, neighbors, or co-workers to group with them, or, maybe even invite that friend to watch the sermon and talk about it.
  • BEST Practice: Ask someone a few days before group to share their testimony during group time; then, let them share during group time.

Relating with Millennials

Many of you have expressed to me your sincere desire to mentor, share ministry with, and relate to the millennial generation. I encourage you to listen to this conversation with Kent Wessinger, PhD who has recently published a book called Bridges over Ladders. I hope that this conversation helps you relate to your children, grandchildren, and those in your sphere of influence. Be praying throughout the holidays about who the Spirit might be prompting you to disciple.
