Good morning, Father.

As I anticipate seeing my precious preschoolers this week, my heart swells with joy because it has been a privilege to be a part of their lives this past year. They have grown so much in the things they can do, the way they are better listeners when Your Word is read, the questions they ask, and the friendships they have made as I have watched them learn to love their friends. My prayer is that I have laid a good foundation for growth to be passed on to the next stage of development with their new teachers. I pray for personal decisions at an early age when they will choose to say yes to be a part of God’s forever family through Jesus Christ, His Son. As I release these preschoolers to another teacher’s care, may my hands remain open to the possibilities with each new child who will promote into my class. Help me to end well and begin strong with the heart of Jesus.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”  (1 Peter 4:10)

In the power of Jesus’ name, Amen.

Good morning, Father.

I am in awe of Your creation. As I drove home the other night, when I turned down my street I saw two deer eating dinner in my neighbors’ yard! There was a tiny doe and a slightly bigger buck with antlers. I took photos as I gazed at their beauty.

God’s creation is beautiful. If you travel, you have seen much and know what I mean. But God’s most beautiful creation is you–created in His image and designed with purpose on purpose. That is you! Whatever life throws at you–yesterday, today, or tomorrow–remember you are valued and loved. Embrace your worth as God sees you. You are some kind of beautiful!
“She (he) is clothed with strength and dignity; she (he) can laugh at the days to come. She (he) speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her (his) tongue.” Proverbs 31:25-26

Good morning, Father

Did I ever thank You for asking me to teach preschoolers at Brentwood Baptist Church? It is such a blessing every time I serve. To know that You chose me to plant seeds, to begin or continue building that firm foundation for eternal salvation is humbling. You have placed me in a place of honor. Use me to teach what I believe in faith to the families You touch through me.

Good morning, Father.

As I teach preschoolers Your Word, I am reminded Jesus was never too busy to meet a need. Jesus is my example of servanthood. May I never be too proud to serve someone else.  I covet to be a servant of Jesus Christ, my fellow workers, and God’s people. My heart’s desire is that Jesus looks down and says to the Father, they are about My business.

“As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially those who belong to the family of believers.”  (Galatians 6:10)

Good morning, Father.

I love how You teach me lessons through nature. This week I am watching two Ginny Wrens constantly feed their newborns that are in a nest in my hanging geranium basket. They worked hard to build this nest where their eggs would be laid. Their instinct tells them to prepare for the future, and they continue to do so by feeding their young. Why? To help them thrive, grow, and get to the point of being taught to fly.

In Scripture we know that Timothy was taught the Holy Scriptures from the time he was a young child by people who loved him dearly and in whom he had great trust. As a preschool teacher, never underestimate the power of your presence or interaction with  children. Maybe you are the one building their nests or feeding their rapid growth rates physically or spiritually. Which ever, know that the trust that is created with you will lay foundations for growth and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Let Your Word dwell in me richly as I teach and admonish others with all wisdom.”            (Colossians 3:16)

In the power of Jesus’ name, Amen.
