Good morning, Father.

During 2017 help me to be faithful in my prayer walk. It is most important that we who serve preschoolers remember to pray for the next generation. Teach me how to pray blessings for these children and their families.

Lord, after Jesus died, the women went to Jesus’ tomb. It was:

Empty, how
Amazing! They were
Surprised! It was the
Third Day after His death, how
Extraordinary! Jesus had
Risen! Alleluia!

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Romans 6:23, HCSB)

Father, I am praying “A Jellybean Prayer” for the preschoolers and their families as we prepare for Easter:
Black is for our sin–the wrong things we have done.
Red is for Jesus’ blood–He shed for everyone.
White is for a clean heart–when in Jesus we believe.
Gold is for the streets in Heaven–promised when Jesus we receive.
Green is for growing; hide His Word in your heart.
Put your trust in Jesus–give your life a brand new start!

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:5, HCSB)

Father, You are our Creator and you created each of us out of Your Love! As I think about and pray for the families of the preschoolers I encounter at BBC, I wonder what kind of morning people they are. Do they wake up before the rooster crows and go for that morning run? Or do they snap at their alarm, pushing that snooze button several times? Or do they just wake up when the kids get them up?

Whichever describes them, I pray they will know this: God woke them up this morning for a reason. Isaiah 50:4 is a beautiful way to awaken each morning–“He awakens (Me) each morning; He awakens my ear to listen like those being instructed” (HCSB).

May each parent and child hear You, their Father, say, “Hello, beautiful!” I pray that they will wake up with the expectation of hearing and receiving new wisdom and encouragement from their heavenly Father.

Father, You tell us in Scripture that all we have to do is ask for wisdom and You will freely give it to us. What is awesome to realize is that Your wisdom is Jesus and He is all we need. As I encounter preschoolers or am in parent conversations, help me to foster good decisions. When I am at a loss on how to handle situations, prompt me to ask for sound advice from those You direct me to for counsel. May I always wake up each morning with the expectation of hearing and receiving new wisdom and encouragement from You.

Lord, I love Your four seasons, and spring is just around the corner. A new season where animals come out of hibernation, nature replaces deadness with life, and of course there will be lots of activities to finish out the school year. My prayer is for breathing room. In the rush of life, help the families I encounter in preschool, and myself, find time and space for people and activities that refresh our soul. Help us make sure that what seems most urgent never distracts us from what is most important. Read Luke 10:40-42.
