3 BIG Things for this Week: October 4

CAN YOU BELIEVE WE ARE BEGINNING OCTOBER!!

Each week we will share the NEXT step that will be presented to our congregation, a Group CHALLENGE, and a BEST practice for groups.

NEXT Step: Vision series – state and future of our local community
Group CHALLENGE: Adopt a school! We have the opportunity in the midst of pandemic to be the hands and feet of Jesus by adopting a local school. Remember that many are moving to Middle Tennessee because of the quality education for their children. Here’s a great way to impact these new folks: Better Together School Outreach.
BEST Practice: Empower a community service leader. Nothing unites a group like a common enemy or a common problem. Let that problem be supporting and witnessing to your local community in the name of Jesus. Empower someone with a passion for charity to lead your group in a regular, e.g. twice per year, service project.

3 BIG Things for this Week: September 20

Each week we will share the NEXT step that will be presented to our congregation, a Group CHALLENGE, and a BEST practice for groups.

  • NEXT Step: Get equipped for Gospel Conversations
  • Group CHALLENGE: Plan a fellowship/service gathering to occur (with physical distancing!) between now and the end of the year.
  • BEST Practice: Empower a fellowship leader. Fellowship events are easy on-ramps for the unconnected. A cookout, kids play day, service projects, etc. are key opportunities to invite along unbelieving friends, neighbors, and co-workers and their families. Try to have such gatherings at least once per quarter or as a season permits, e.g. Christmas gathering.
