Good morning, Father.

Children are an amazing gift from You.

Father, I am praying that You bathe my preschoolers in restful, confident hope as they trust in You. May they learn about, abide in, and overflow with Your peace.

“For I know the plans I have for you”- this is the Lord’s declaration – “plans for your well-being, not for disaster; to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11, CSB)

Good morning, Father

Children are an amazing gift from You.

Father God, we live in times where we need protection–protection from harm, danger, and evil intent. I pray for the protection of my preschoolers whether at home, school, or play. I ask for the ministry of Your protective angels to be around them. Thank you that You are our safe place, hiding place, shielded place. You are the Defender and Protector of my preschoolers.

“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.”
(Psalm 34:7, CSB)

Good morning, Father

Children are an amazing gift from You.

Father God, children need encouragement. How easy it is to forget that they are always learning, being successful as well as making mistakes as their minds and bodies develop.
When do we need encouragement? When we are tired and weak, standing at crossroads, moving through stages of life, or goofing up. Encouragement doesn’t sound like much, but it’s everything. Help me to be my preschoolers biggest encourager! May my words and actions meet a need at just the right time. Thank you, Father that Your encouragement is with them, Your hope is in them, and Your grace is upon them.

“Bright eyes cheer the heart; good news strengthens the bones.” (Proverbs 15:30, CSB)

Good morning, Father

Children are an amazing gift from You.

Father God, children need assurance. Maybe that is why they like to be tucked in at night and then pray their good night prayers with a parent. You know, security when things are dark. I want them to know where their security comes from. Help me to teach them about Your Presence, watchful care, hand covering, and Your everlasting help in every time of need. Help me to see with Your eyes, be sensitive to their emotions, and love as Jesus did as I encounter my preschoolers. You are Lord who is there.

“But You, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts up my head. I cry aloud to the Lord, and He answers me from His holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the Lord sustains me” (Psalm 3:3-5, CSB).

Good morning, Father.

Children are a gift–an amazing blessing from You. As a BBC teacher, mentor, parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle, you have the power to make a difference in their precious lives through prayer.

Father, You are the Gardener of our soul. We take seeds, plant them in the summer, and witness their transformation into yummy vegetables or fruits. I am asking You to transform my preschoolers into the likeness of Christ. Use vessels like VBS, Sunday School, Preschool weekday classes, missions activities, and kids’ choir in Your perfect wisdom to produce such a harvest and, Father, let it begin with me.

“We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18, CSB).

Father, what a wonderful week we are having in VBS. Thank you for You–for Your provision, protection, & presence that spoke through each of us as we presented the Gospel in so many creative ways. It is in the power of Jesus’ name that many seeds of faith have been planted and will bear much fruit in days yet to be. Father, water and grow these seeds. Give each worker a time of rest, renewal, and reward for their faithfulness to serve You. May Your kingdom on earth be glorified and magnified through the many hands and feet at Brentwood Baptist Church. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of Your redemptive work.

“Giving thanks always for everything to God the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20, HCSB)

God, would You make my preschoolers healthy and strong physically, emotionally, and spiritually? Protect them from disease, illness, or any harm to their minds and spirits. Equip them for every purpose and give them endurance to run the race well. (Psalm 103:1-5)

Father, today for my preschoolers I pray that they begin to learn “self-control.” Help me and their parents guard their steps from evil and give them diligence to turn away from what is wrong. I pray that You will help them be bold to say “no” to what is wrong and “yes” to what is right. (1 John 4:4; Romans 8:37)

Preschoolers encounter various trials and difficult times as they mature and grow. When loss occurs and things don’t go their way, Father, teach them greater perseverance. It is Your nature to build deeper character, stronger faith, and use any hardship in their lives for ultimate good, turning it around for blessing instead. (James 1:2-4; Genesis 50:20)

Today, Father, I pray for the 3 G’s–Generous, Giving, and Gratitude. I pray from these three attributes will flow a desire to extend help to others. People always need extra help with food and clothing during the summer months. May my preschoolers honor You in all they have and do. (Psalm 37:25-26)
